About Stuart Parr

I have been a parish councillor for Brookside since May 2011.

I lived in Brookside as a child before my family moved to Much Wenlock where I grew up. I moved back to Brookside years ago when I met my wife. My wife passed away from cancer in 2017.

I have 4 children (three boys and one girl), the youngest three to Madeley Academy and the eldest is studying medicine at Imperial College London.

I have been a member of Brookside Improvement Group (BIG) for years and am a member of the Brookside Big Local steering group which is responsible for consulting with residents on how to spend a million pound lottery fund for the benefit of the estate. I am also Vice Chair of the Stirchley & Brookside Neighbourhood Plan committee which is a resident-led group tasked with writing a statutory neighbourhood plan that will guide future development in the parish.

I am Chair of the parish council's Personnel and Audit Committees and sit on the Community & Environment and Policy & Resources Committees.
