Labour councillors plan to merge Telford into Greater Birmingham again

The local Labour Party have been telling us for years that the Tories want to merge Telford & Wrekin and Shropshire Councils and have Telford run from Shirehall. Despite the Tories denying it, Labour have repeatedly slated them for it.

Today we learn that Labour politicians have been planning to merge Telford with Birmingham and the Black Country again, just 6 years after the Conservatives took control of Telford & Wrekin back from Birmingham following a campaign that I started all those years ago.

If it wasn't for UKIP's Cllr Thomas Hoof submitting a question for tomorrow's borough council meeting they would still be negotiating the sale of the borough in secret.
